Philadelphia, PA: Oh, this mess caused by the dimble repair shop working on the Moose fuel pump has now blossomed into a full blown problem.
If it wasn’t bad enough for the nitwits to jam frayed copper strands into the hot side of the fuel pump electrical connection instead of making up a proper fitting, they ended up trashing both the hot and ground side factory female barrel connectors leaving me with a butt connection and a lot of electrical tape trying to cover up the screwup.
Can I invoke Ruprecht the Idiot Boy right about now?
I determined to fix this issue once and for all by using a 14-10 male/female spad connector (shown in the image above) which actually fit the male connectors on the fuel pump and building out and repairing the electrical wiring ahead of the pump.
This car is a functional restoration which places a premium on reliability as a daily driver.
No one at Curly, Larry and Moe auto repair seems to get that.
