I just spent 36 straight hours in bed long hauling.
But this is what long hauling is like for many people after having a bout with COVID-19. My bout took place this past April and I still have episodes of extreme fatigue, dry coughing and gastric issues.
Given my existing side effects from the leukemia chemo it was almost impossible for the medical team to know what was chemo-related and what was viral related which may have lead to the risky decision to change my chemo- a decision that nearly killed me earlier this year.
I feel much better this morning, almost well enough to go buy a pair of Dan Post boots, put on a Jerry Reed CAT hat, pick up my electric guitar and play some diesel-chickenpickin for the road.
For the Long Haul.
And, no. I can’t play this fast and well in a hundred years.
